Accessibility

Operamatix, LLC builds websites for a living, so we hold our own site to the standard we build for clients: everyone should be able to read it, navigate it, and contact us, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

The standard we work toward

We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, level AA. That is the widely accepted benchmark for an accessible website. We treat it as a working target we measure against, not a one-time badge.

What we do

• The site is built with semantic HTML: real headings in order, named page regions, and real links and buttons, so screen readers can make sense of every page.
• Everything works from a keyboard, including the menus, the questions and answers on our about page, and the contact form.
• Meaningful images carry written descriptions.
• Text colors meet contrast guidelines against their backgrounds, in every one of the site’s visual themes.
• If your device is set to reduce motion, the site’s animations quiet down or turn off.
• Text can be resized and pages reflow to fit your screen, from a phone to a large monitor.

Known limitations

The live demos on our work page include visual, interactive pieces, such as a spinning 3D model. They are extras, not the way to reach any information or service on this site, and everything you might need from us is available in plain text or by phone. If a demo or anything else gets in your way, skip it and tell us.
